Nintendo released a trailer and multiple screenshots for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort that show the return of Wuhu Island and confirm the game will launch for the Switch 2 on October 22, 2026.
Nintendo confirmed the game includes 12 sports and that 100-pin bowling is part of the lineup. The full list of activities is Boxing, Table Tennis, Archery, Tennis, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, Golf, Thumb Wrestling, Skateboarding, Power Cruising and Prop Plane.
The company says the game emphasizes motion-based controls using the Joy-Con 2. The controllers will function as bows, paddles and other sport-specific inputs to replicate players’ physical movements on screen.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort supports one to four players in both local and online multiplayer. Released images include split-screen views that show local multiplayer action and group matches.
Wuhu Island previously appeared in Nintendo sports titles and mini-game collections and returns as an island setting for several of the included sports.
Nintendo did not provide pricing, detailed online features or post-launch plans in the screenshot release. Further information is expected closer to the October 22 launch.
