NIS America Bringing Trails from Zero, Azure to PS5 in 4K/120fps

NIS America will release Falcom’s Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure on PS5 this fall with 4K and up to 120 fps; titles will sell separately or as a bundle, with no price or PS4 upgrade details yet.

NIS America will release Falcom’s Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure for PlayStation 5 this fall. The publisher confirmed the ports will run at 4K resolution and support frame rates up to 120 fps. The games will be available individually or in a bundled edition, and no firm release dates or prices have been announced.

NIS America said the PS5 editions include technical upgrades over the PS4 versions but has not disclosed whether PS4 owners will receive a free or discounted upgrade. The publisher did not offer PS4-to-PS5 upgrade paths when it released the PS5 versions of Trails of Cold Steel 3 and Trails of Cold Steel 4, leaving upgrade pricing or cross-buy options unclear until further details are published.

Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure are entries in Falcom’s long-running Trails series. Trails from Zero introduces a new central cast and establishes a story arc that Trails to Azure continues and concludes, forming a directly linked narrative across the two titles.

Falcom has indicated it is considering future remakes of these games. A full 3D remake of Trails in the Sky: Second Chapter is on track for release on September 17, 2026, and Falcom and its partners are exploring other remakes and ports.

PS4 owners who want native PS5 performance will need to wait for NIS America’s full release announcement later this year for exact dates, pricing and any upgrade options.
