No Rest for the Wicked launches Oct. 27 on PC, PS5; Switch 2

Moon Studios’ Soulslike ARPG exits early access and reaches 1.0 on PC and PS5 on Oct. 27; a Switch 2 release is planned for a later date.

Moon Studios’ action role-playing game No Rest for the Wicked will exit early access and launch its full 1.0 version on PC and PlayStation 5 on Oct. 27. A version for Switch 2 is planned for a later date.

The game is a Soulslike action RPG in which players control a mysterious magic wielder tasked with confronting a plague in a fantasy world. Moon Studios is the developer behind the Ori platforming series.

Moon Studios noted the 1.0 release adds more than 60 hours of content beyond the early access build. The update includes new areas, a story finale and complete multiplayer features. The studio did not provide technical details on performance targets or resolution for the PC and PS5 versions.

During early access, the developer used player feedback to adjust combat balance, level design and multiplayer systems. The studio confirmed the end of early access and the availability of the finished product on Oct. 27. The announcement did not include pricing or preload windows.

The company reiterated that a Switch 2 release is planned but gave no release window or further platform details. The Switch 2 launch is scheduled to follow the Oct. 27 PC and PS5 rollout.

Moon Studios did not outline plans for post-launch support or downloadable content in the announcement.
