North American eShop adds Outbound and R‑Type III

Nintendo’s May 14 North American eShop update lists new releases including Switch 2 title Outbound, R‑Type Dimensions III and dozens of new and reissued Switch games.

Nintendo published a North American eShop update on May 14 that lists new and upcoming releases for both the original Switch and the Switch 2. The update highlights the Switch 2 title Outbound and the return of R‑Type in R‑Type Dimensions III, plus dozens of additional entries across multiple genres.

Outbound, from developer Silver Lining, is listed for Switch 2 at $24.99. The game places players in a van-dwelling setting where they refurbish an empty camper into an off-grid home. It supports single-player and online multiplayer for up to four players and includes crafting workstations, harvesting energy from natural sources, vehicle customization, farming mechanics and open-world exploration.

R‑Type Dimensions III from ININ Games is scheduled for May 19 at $34.99. The package rebuilds classic R‑Type stages, bosses and projectile patterns with updated 3D graphics and enhanced animations while preserving the original arcade pacing. The release is listed for both Switch 2 and the original Switch.

Other entries listed for May release windows include Sektori by Kimmo Factor at $14.99 (May 14), Smalland: Survive the Wilds by Maximum Entertainment at $34.99 (May 14), Atomic Owl definitive edition at $12.99 (May 20), and Farming Simulator 26: Nintendo Switch Edition at $39.99 (May 19). The update also documents a mix of smaller releases such as walking simulators, puzzle collections, roguelikes, simulation titles and retro ports.

Publishers named in the listing include Silver Lining, ININ Games, Maximum Entertainment, GIANTS Software and Clickpulp, alongside independent developers and boutique studios. Prices in the update range from budget titles under $10 to larger offerings near $40, with staggered release dates through mid-to-late May.

The May 14 list is part of Nintendo’s routine regional eShop refreshes that publish new storefront entries and regional release schedules. The update gives users in North America a current view of planned Switch and Switch 2 digital releases and reissues scheduled for the coming weeks.
