Observer: System Redux arrives on Switch 2 June 18
Bloober Team will release Observer: System Redux for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 18, an updated edition of the studio’s cyberpunk horror with added story content, gameplay tweaks and optional mouse and motion controls.
Bloober Team announced that Observer: System Redux will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 18. The release updates the studio’s 2017 cyberpunk horror and follows the game’s earlier appearance on Nintendo’s first Switch in 2019 and other platforms.
The Redux edition expands the original title with added narrative material and changes to gameplay. Players return as detective Daniel Lazarski, played by the late Rutger Hauer, using neural-hacking tools to enter and examine fractured memories in a Blade Runner–inspired cityscape. The game retains its horror elements, including tense atmosphere and jump-scare moments.
The Switch 2 build includes optional mouse support and motion controls to give players finer aiming and interaction while exploring environments. The port features performance and visual adjustments to take advantage of the Switch 2 hardware, along with several quality-of-life improvements and gameplay tweaks aimed at refining investigative mechanics and controls.
Bloober Team framed the release as part of its effort to bring its horror catalogue to Nintendo’s newer hardware. No price, editions or pre-order information have been released ahead of the June 18 launch.
