One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 was developed by Omega Force and follows the action-oriented formula of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series. Players fight on large battlefields against waves of enemies while controlling characters from the One Piece series through story beats up to the Wano arc. The game includes multiple multiplayer modes.
The base release offers more than 40 playable characters. Bandai Namco expanded the roster with 24 post-launch downloadable characters; Eneru, King and Z were added earlier in the year. The publisher has not announced a successor to the Pirate Warriors series.
The main campaign runs about 15 hours, with completionists able to reach roughly 40 hours by pursuing extra objectives and DLC. Combat additions in Pirate Warriors 4 include expanded air combos. On PS5 the game runs at 60 frames per second with improved visual fidelity and a larger number of active enemies on screen compared with the PS4 version.
