Opus: Prism Peak headed to PS5 this year

SIGONO’s photography adventure Opus: Prism Peak, a top-rated 2026 indie on Switch and PC, is confirmed for PS5 with a release planned later this year after a BitSummit showing in Kyoto.

SIGONO confirmed that Opus: Prism Peak will arrive on PlayStation 5 later this year after a demonstration at BitSummit in Kyoto. The developer displayed a PS5 build at the event but has not provided a firm release date.

The game launched earlier this year on Nintendo Switch and PC and ranked among the highest-rated indie releases of 2026 on those platforms. Critics gave the title strong scores; one review rated it 92 out of 100 and called it “an outstanding adventure,” describing parts of the experience as “at times haunting yet hopeful.”

Opus: Prism Peak casts players as a middle-aged photojournalist who leaves city life and, after an accident, becomes stranded in an otherworldly mountain setting. Accompanied by a young woman, players use a camera to capture images, solve puzzles and piece together the story of the place they are in. The game combines exploration, puzzle solving and a photography mechanic.

SIGONO showed the PS5 version at the Kyoto event so attendees could see how the game looks on Sony’s current-generation hardware. The developer has not yet released technical details for the PS5 edition, such as frame rate targets, resolution or any platform-specific UI or control changes.

No information on pricing, preorder dates or exact availability has been announced. SIGONO said it will provide more launch details closer to release. With the PS5 port confirmed, the studio will expand the game’s availability to PlayStation players later this year.
