More than 20 PlayStation 5 games release May 25-31, highlighted by Mina the Hollower on May 29 and 007 First Light on May 27.
More than 20 PlayStation 5 games are scheduled for release between May 25 and May 31. The week’s slate covers a range of genres, including action-adventure, horror, racing, simulation and virtual reality, with Mina the Hollower arriving May 29 and 007 First Light on May 27.
Mina the Hollower is a pixel-art action-adventure that features burrowing mechanics, whip-based combat, collectible sidearms and trinkets, boss encounters and a retro-style soundtrack. The title is set on a cursed island and centers on a character called Mina who must explore and fight through varied environments.
007 First Light follows James Bond as a young recruit in MI6’s training program. The game presents an origin-story angle for the franchise’s protagonist and will be released May 27 for the PS5.
Other releases include Realm of Ink on May 26, a sword-and-shape-shifting action game; World of Tanks: HEAT on May 26, a free-to-play vehicle combat game that pairs specialized agents with advanced tanks and emphasizes team tactics; and Yerba Buena on May 26, a surreal puzzle-platformer about an NPC defending San Francisco.
Racing and action entries arriving that week include Nitro City Racing on May 27, an arcade-style street racer focused on speed and vehicle customization. Horror and mystery titles are scheduled throughout the week. Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 arrives May 27 and continues the factory-set survival horror series. Amanda the Adventurer 3 releases May 28 and follows a character who finds a set of old VHS tapes while exploring a reclusive relative’s house. Necrophosis: Full Consciousness, also due May 28, is a first-person psychological horror with puzzle elements. Forensic M.E. Protocol on May 28 offers nine separate investigative cases.
Family and licensed games include Bluey’s Quest for the Golden Pen on May 28 and Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis Next on May 28. Blueberry, a narrative about a character’s life across memories, and Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, a farming-sim entry focused on market and stall mechanics, both release May 28.
Virtual Hunter, a VR hunting experience, is scheduled for May 27. Lunar Strike, a narrative-driven lunar survival title, will arrive May 31. Smaller releases for May 29 include My Little Puppy, a narrative about a rescued corgi, and N.E.R.D, a puzzle-horror escape game. One Move Away, a first-person packing-puzzle game framed around three characters’ lives, is due May 28.
Several titles on the schedule are digital launches for the PS5 platform. World of Tanks: HEAT will be available as a free-to-play download.
