Acclaimed 2020 PS5 adventure now under $5 on PS Store

Paradise Killer is available for $4.99 on the PlayStation Store until Aug. 27. The price will revert to $19.99 after that date. The sale covers both PS5 and PS4 through cross-buy.

The PlayStation Store lists $4.99 as the lowest recorded price for the title. The game has been discounted previously, but the current listing is the store’s cheapest to date.

The game is an open-world investigative adventure that centers on exploration and a murder mystery. The official synopsis reads: “An island outside of reality. A rogue human civilization hoping to resurrect dead alien gods. A murder behind locked doors.” The player controls the exiled investigator Lady Love Dies, who is summoned to find the killer. The gameplay emphasizes gathering evidence, questioning suspects and building a case rather than combat.

The PS5 edition supports 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with ray tracing, includes DualSense controller features, a day/night cycle and fast loading. The PlayStation Store shows a 4.43 out of 5-star rating from more than 1,000 votes, and the PS5 port has an 89/100 score on Metacritic.

Paradise Killer was developed by Kaizen Game Works and released in 2020. The sale ends Aug. 27.
