Patrick Gibson to Play James Bond in 007 First Light

IO Interactive released a video interview with Irish actor Patrick Gibson, who will portray James Bond in the upcoming game 007 First Light. The clip is part of a promotional series that highlights the game’s ensemble cast ahead of the title’s launch on consoles and PC later this month.

Gibson expressed enthusiasm for the role and for player reactions. In the video he told viewers: “Strap in, I’m as excited as everyone else to play, I hope people enjoy the game, I think there was a lot of love and passion put into it, and for fans of gaming and the character, I hope it delivers everything that they expect. I’m very excited to hear people’s reaction.”

IO Interactive says it plans to release a Nintendo Switch 2 version in the summer and that studio leadership will work to meet that window. The studio has released short profiles of cast members to generate attention in the weeks before launch.

007 First Light is a new entry in the James Bond franchise developed by IO Interactive. The game will arrive on multiple platforms, with the Switch 2 release following the initial rollout.
