Playable GTA 6 Build, Footage Leak Ahead of Netflix

A user calling themselves CyberLeek posted five videos, a rendered map and other in-game files from a playable Grand Theft Auto 6 build online in the days before Rockstar Games’ extended look is due to stream on Netflix on Aug. 27.

The uploads include gameplay from a working build rather than promotional trailers or concept art, based on technical details visible in the footage. In the final clip, bullets on a game wall spell out “LEEK,” matching the leaker’s handle.

A known industry insider who uses the handle NatetheHate examined the files and assessed they date to more than a year ago. That assessment indicates the leaked material may not match the state of the game shown in Rockstar’s upcoming presentation.

The leaker asserts deeper access to the build, including scenes labeled as Lucia’s ending. That claim prompted warnings from some players who want to avoid spoilers before the official showcase.

Rockstar Games has issued copyright takedown notices for some of the leaked material and previously tightened internal security after earlier breaches. The company has not provided public details on how the files were obtained.

Observers noted playable-level assets in the leaked files, which are typical of internal test builds and can include unfinished visuals and placeholder content. Copyright strikes and platform removals reduced the number of accessible clips, though multiple videos and images circulated prior to takedowns.

It remains unclear who supplied the files to the leaker or how long the build was exposed. Rockstar’s enforcement actions are continuing as the company works to limit further distribution ahead of the scheduled Netflix presentation.
