Players Praise PS Plus September Free Games

Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed the PlayStation Plus Essential September lineup after an earlier leak. The PlayStation Store lists Sniper Elite: Resistance, Chained Echoes and Wobbly Life as free for subscribers on PS5 and PS4 beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1.

The announcement on the PlayStation Store repeats the three-game bundle and notes that each title will be available to claim during September under the service’s monthly rotation. The store page includes brief descriptions of each game.

Sniper Elite: Resistance, released in 2025, is a third-person stealth shooter that focuses on long-range sniping, tactical combat and realistic ballistics. The game places players in small covert operations set in occupied France rather than large-scale battlefronts.

Chained Echoes, released in 2022, is a story-driven Japanese-style role-playing game with turn-based combat. The game follows a group of heroes across the continent of Valandis as they work to end a war between three kingdoms.

Wobbly Life, released in 2025, is a casual, physics-based open-world title. Players begin with a simple job-seeking premise and can play alone or in online or local co-op with up to four people, taking part in tasks and mini-games in a shared world.

Players responded positively to the mix of genres, noting the chance to play a recent Sniper Elite entry, try an acclaimed JRPG, or enjoy a cooperative sandbox experience. Community comments specifically pointed out Chained Echoes as a welcome narrative option for role-playing fans.

All three games will be free to claim on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers from Sept. 1 and remain available to download throughout the month.
