Playground Games warns of bans after Forza Horizon 6 leak

Playground Games warned individuals who accessed a leaked PC build of Forza Horizon 6 obtained before the game’s release will face franchise-wide and hardware bans. The studio confirmed the leak did not stem from a pre-load error and an Xbox build has not been confirmed as affected.

The studio will pursue strict enforcement against anyone found accessing the unauthorized files. It did not provide details on investigation methods or how many accounts or devices may be sanctioned.

In a statement, Playground Games wrote: “We are aware of reports that a build of Forza Horizon 6 has been obtained prior to its release and can confirm this is not the result of a pre-load issue. We are taking strict enforcement action against any individuals found accessing this build including franchise-wide and hardware bans. We encourage fans to sit tight for the game’s release on May 19.”

Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to launch on May 19. Playground Games did not disclose how the files were obtained or whether internal security failures occurred. The studio’s message urged players to wait for the official launch and obtain the game through legitimate channels.
