Playground Games to Fix Four Forza Horizon 6 Issues

Playground Games is investigating four Forza Horizon 6 issues: Drivatar AI balance and three PC problems-AMD GPU framerate, audio crackling, and crashes/invalid loading errors.

Playground Games confirmed it is investigating four issues affecting Forza Horizon 6 after player feedback in the days following launch. The studio identified one issue with Drivatar AI and three issues specific to the PC version: AMD GPU framerate drops, audio crackling on some configurations, and crashes with invalid loading errors.

Players have reported that Drivatars feel too fast and aggressive at higher difficulty settings. The studio is reviewing player reports and telemetry before making changes. In a developer post, the team wrote, “We’ve heard from you that sometimes our AI opponents are too fast to compete with, especially at higher difficulty levels,” and said it will monitor feedback and update the community when it has concrete plans.

Engineering teams are working on optimizations for AMD graphics cards to address framerate drops on PC. The developer asked players to submit system-specific data through the Forza Feedback Portal to help identify problem configurations and guide further fixes.

The studio is investigating audio crackling issues on certain PC hardware configurations and continuing to track reports of crashes and invalid loading errors. A hotfix has been released that improves some invalid loading errors, and additional patches are planned for future updates. The developer noted that some crashes originate from machines that fall below the game’s minimum supported PC specifications or from unsupported operating systems.

Playground Games said it is also progressing on scheduled content and platform releases, including Festival Playlists, the Italian Passion Car Pack due in July, the two planned expansions, and a PlayStation 5 version slated for later in 2026. Players were invited to submit requests and bug reports via the Forza Feedback Portal to help prioritize future work.

Analysts estimate roughly 5 million copies have sold since launch, while the studio reported six million people have played Forza Horizon 6. About 42% of players are on Xbox platforms despite the game launching on Xbox Game Pass.

The developer will provide updates as it gathers more data and rolls out fixes and urged players experiencing PC issues to submit details through the feedback portal to aid diagnosis and resolution.
