PlayStation opens May 2026 Players’ Choice poll

PlayStation Blog has opened its Players’ Choice poll for May 2026, inviting readers worldwide to select the single new release from that month they would recommend to a friend. The poll runs on PlayStation.Blog and accepts one vote per reader.

PlayStation Blog’s editorial team seeded the poll with a selection of May releases that includes 007 First Light, Directive 8020, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and Mina the Hollower. The list reflects titles the team identified as notable releases for the month.

Voters are free to use their own criteria when choosing a winner; PlayStation leaves the definition of “best” to the audience. Re-released games are not eligible for the poll, but remakes are allowed. PlayStation Blog defines remakes as larger-scale rebuilds and gives Resident Evil 4 (2023) and Final Fantasy VII Remake as examples of the classification.

After the poll closes, PlayStation Blog will tally votes and publish the result on its site and PlayStation’s social channels. The Players’ Choice polls run monthly and present a single reader-selected winner for each calendar month.

The May field includes spy action (007 First Light), detective-style gameplay (Directive 8020), family-oriented superhero action (LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight) and indie adventure (Mina the Hollower), offering voters a range of genres to consider before casting a single pick.
