Sony will stream nearly 20 minutes of Phantom Blade Zero gameplay during a PlayStation State of Play on Monday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET. Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to release on Oct. 29, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC; the title is a PS5 console exclusive with a PC version planned.
Sony indicated the presentation will focus on Phantom Blade Zero and that viewers should not expect additional announcements during the broadcast. Preorders are available now on the PlayStation Store and an 11-minute trailer has been posted ahead of the event.
Phantom Blade Zero will be offered in two digital editions. The standard edition is priced at $59.99 and grants early access to an in-game accessory called Treasure Basin and an outfit named Legacy for customers who preorder. A Deluxe Edition is priced at $69.99 and includes the preorder bonuses plus two extra outfits, Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form, along with a digital art book and the digital soundtrack.
The game’s description frames the story around a warrior named Soul who is framed for his master’s death and told he has 66 days left to live. Soul is pursued by former comrades while attempting to uncover the conspiracy that condemned him. The project is presented as an action role-playing game centered on narrative and combat.
The State of Play presentation will provide a concentrated block of gameplay footage intended to give viewers a closer look at the game’s systems, presentation and tone ahead of its October release. Preorder details and edition contents are listed on the PlayStation Store.
