PlayStation Store adds free PS5 game Legendary Tales 1

PlayStation Store added Five-BN Studios’ hidden-object adventure Legendary Tales 1: Stolen Life to PS5 as a free download. It follows Lucia searching for her werewolf brother and includes optional microtransactions.

Sony’s PlayStation Store has added Legendary Tales 1: Stolen Life to the PS5 library as a free download. The hidden-object puzzle adventure is developed by Five-BN Studios, a Ukrainian studio that has been making games for more than a decade. The title first appeared on PC and smartphones.

Players control Lucia, who searches for her brother Ulf, a werewolf, and encounters a witch during the story. Gameplay requires finding hidden objects in scenes to solve puzzles and complete minigames. Puzzles and minigames grow more complex as the story progresses.

The PlayStation release is free to download but offers optional in-game purchases. The PlayStation Store lists coin bundles priced at $2.99 for 30 coins and $6.99 for 80 coins. Coins can be used to skip puzzles or minigames and to unlock bonus chapters. The store shows an aggregate rating of 3.73 from 26 user reviews.

On PS5 the game includes 21 trophies: eight Bronze, nine Silver and two Gold. There is no Platinum trophy. Legendary Tales is a five-entry franchise; only the first game has been released on PlayStation so far.

Five-BN has released other titles on PlayStation, including Lost Lands 1: Dark Overlord and New York Mysteries, and the studio plans to add Darkness and Flame 1: Born of Fire to the PlayStation Store at a later date. The developer commonly distributes games as free-to-play with optional in-game purchases.
