PlayStation Store update: MLB The Show 26, Chained Echoes

Sony updated the global PlayStation Store on September 15, 2026, publishing the September PlayStation Plus Essential lineup and a wider set of new digital releases, emulated classics, and add-on content for PS4, PS5 and PlayStation VR.

The PlayStation Plus Essential games for September are Chained Echoes on PS4 and MLB The Show 26 on PS5. The MLB The Show 26: Jump Start Bundle is listed as a paid purchase option tied to the MLB title. The Essential lineup also includes Sniper Elite: Resistance and Wobbly Life, each available for both PS4 and PS5 where noted.

PlayStation VR additions in the update include Detective VR, Shelf Work VR and Unmourned VR. The store refresh includes full games, downloadable content, season passes and bundles published by a range of developers and publishers.

New and recent PS4 and PS5 entries in the September 15 update include modern releases and ports such as Marvel’s Wolverine, NHL 27 and Valheim. Smaller and independent titles added to the storefront include Farming Life: Agriculture Simulator, The Legend of Dark Witch and The Legend of Dark Witch Episode 2, among other indie releases.

The refresh also adds emulated and archive titles for legacy systems. Notable emulation and archive listings include COMMAND MISSION under PS2 emulation, Nobunaga’s Ambition II, Classic Mega Man X and CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS. Branded releases such as HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush are listed alongside retro reissues and compilations.

Sony’s Store updates run on a weekly schedule and are published by region. The September 15 entries reflect the changes posted for the North American storefront; comparable updates are typically rolled out to other regions with some regional differences in availability and release timing. The digital refresh serves as the primary channel for new game launches, virtual reality titles, legacy emulation releases and related downloadable content.
