PlayStation Store Update — Sept. 8, 2026

Sony published the global PlayStation Store update on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. The update covers PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR and PlayStation Plus subscribers worldwide and lists the month’s PlayStation Plus Essential games alongside new PS4 and PS5 releases available to buy or download.

The PlayStation Plus Essential lineup for the month includes Chained Echoes (PS4), MLB The Show 26 (PS5) and its Jump Start Bundle (PS5), Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS4/PS5) and Wobbly Life (PS4/PS5). Chained Echoes is a turn-based role-playing game, MLB The Show 26 is the latest baseball simulation, Sniper Elite: Resistance is a tactical third-person shooter, and Wobbly Life is a physics-based sandbox. Subscribers can add these titles to their libraries during the month they are offered.

The MLB The Show 26 Jump Start Bundle appears as a separate item on the store and is intended to provide early in-game items and progression benefits for PS5 players who acquire it. Sniper Elite: Resistance and Wobbly Life are listed for both PS4 and PS5 so owners of either console can access those games without a forced upgrade.

The update also lists full-price launches, ports and smaller releases across both consoles. Notable additions include NBA 2K27, Bus Simulator 27, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed, Marsupilami 2 – Salsa Palombia and Mewgenics. The store entry for each title indicates platform availability and release format.

PlayStation Store updates are published weekly on Tuesdays and include new game launches, downloadable add-ons, demos and timed sales alongside the month’s PlayStation Plus titles. Players can download new items directly from their console’s PlayStation Store interface or through the web store. Availability, pricing and launch timing may vary by region.
