Pokémon Center sells 1996-style Pikachu plush and key chain
Pokémon Center listed a 1996-style Pikachu plush for $29.99 and a key chain for $12.99. U.S. and Australian stock has sold out; restocks may appear in the coming days.
Pokémon Center listed a Pikachu 1996-style plush at $29.99 and a matching key chain at $12.99 on its online store. Both items sold out in the United States and Australia shortly after they went on sale.
The items first released in Japan earlier this year as part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary merchandise lineup. The Japan release preceded the localized listing on the Pokémon Center web store.
The design recreates Pikachu’s original Game Boy appearance from Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green with a monochrome palette and pixelated features. The store’s product page describes the plush as “bursting with retro charm” and describes the key chain as bringing “big-time nostalgic vibes” to bags and lanyards.
Regional pricing is listed at $29.99 for the plush and $12.99 for the key chain or the equivalent in local currencies. The Pokémon Center listing does not include a firm restock date.
The retro plush and key chain are among several items released for the 30th anniversary, including trading-card products, apparel and other exclusive plush designs.
No official restock schedule is posted; customers can check the Pokémon Center online store and official social channels for updates and availability.
