Pokémon Champions arrives on mobile with cross-save, update
Pokémon Champions launched on iOS and Android today with cross-save to Nintendo Switch. Switch patch 1.1.0 expands the roster and fixes issues; mobile players receive Raichu and Raichunite X/Y.
The Pokémon Company released Pokémon Champions on iOS and Android today and added cross-save support with Nintendo Switch. The mobile edition is free-to-play and allows players to carry progress between Switch consoles and mobile devices.
A simultaneous Switch update moved the game to version 1.1.0. That patch increases the number of playable Pokémon and addresses multiple gameplay and stability issues. Full patch notes and a list of newly added Pokémon were not published at launch.
Mobile players who log in during the event period will find a Raichu and two Mega Stones-Raichunite X and Raichunite Y-in the in-game mailbox. Equipping the appropriate Mega Stone enables Mega Evolution for compatible Pokémon during battles. No end date for the giveaway was included in the launch information.
Cross-save lets players transfer battle records, teams and progress between a Switch or Switch 2 console and a mobile device so play can continue across platforms. The developer has indicated the roster will be expanded over time through future updates.
Players should see the roster additions and fixes once their game finishes updating on each platform. The release note summary provided at launch focuses on roster growth and stability improvements rather than new gameplay systems.
