Pokémon Champions arrives on mobile June 17 with cross-play

Pokémon Champions launches on iOS and Android on June 17, 2026, with cross-play across Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and mobile, new Mega Evolution mechanics, and pre-registration opening today.

The Pokémon Company International announced that Pokémon Champions will launch on iOS and Android on June 17, 2026. Pre-registration opens today on the App Store and Google Play. The free-to-play title will support cross-platform play between Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

The game focuses on accessible, strategy-driven Pokémon battles. It pairs a simpler onboarding process for new players with deeper battle options for more experienced competitors. Cross-platform support will allow players on different devices to join the same matches and progress together.

Pokémon Champions will introduce new Mega Evolution mechanics. Mega Stones are planned to appear in the in-game shop and through other features at a later date. Players who log in between Wednesday, June 17 and Wednesday, September 2 will receive Raichu plus Raichunite X and Raichunite Y via their in-game mailbox; the rewards will be delivered in both the mobile and Nintendo Switch versions. Raichu can also be obtained through other in-game methods.

The game is free-to-play with optional in-game purchases for cosmetic items, progression boosts and future content. The company plans to provide further details on specific monetization elements and additional features closer to or after launch.
