Pokemon’s Dragonite short gets English dub on YouTube
Pokemon short ‘Dragonite and the Special Delivery’ now has an English dub and is available free on Pokemon’s official YouTube channel; runtime is just under 14 minutes.
CoMix Wave Films’ short film ‘Dragonite and the Special Delivery’ has been released with an English dub and uploaded free to Pokemon’s official YouTube channel. The short runs just under 14 minutes.
The short was produced by CoMix Wave Films and originally premiered in early 2025. The new upload places the English dub as the primary audio track.
The story follows Hana, a girl from the Paldea region who wants to be an ace mail carrier, and her partner Fuecoco. Hana finds a letter with no address and searches the city to find the sender.
The sender is Rio, a boy who wants to wish his father a happy birthday; his father is working far away in the Kanto region. Dragonite appears as an inspirational figure in the story and helps advance the delivery-focused plot.
The YouTube upload does not include an official Japanese audio track with English subtitles in the same video. Viewers looking for the original Japanese audio with English subtitles will need to locate separate releases or festival screenings that previously showed the short.
Viewers have singled out an animated sequence featuring Kyogre for praise for its visual quality. The short’s brief runtime and straightforward delivery story make it accessible for younger viewers and families.
Leaked images circulating online indicate new Pokemon-themed LEGO sets may be in development, with one rumored set carrying a suggested retail price near $109.99. There has been no official announcement from LEGO or The Pokemon Company.
CoMix Wave Films has produced other animated features and shorts. ‘Dragonite and the Special Delivery’ is one of several short-form Pokemon animations created outside the main television series and theatrical films.
