Pokemon Pokopia 1.1.0 patch adds fixes; expansion dates set

Pokemon Pokopia 1.1.0, released June 9, 2026, brings bug fixes and quality-of-life updates. The Expansion Pass will deliver ‘Bubbly Basin’ in August 2026, part two in late 2026 and part three in 2027.

The Pokémon Company released Version 1.1.0 for Pokemon Pokopia on June 9, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch. The patch delivers bug fixes and small quality-of-life changes. The company announced the game’s Expansion Pass during a Nintendo Direct; the pass is available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop. Expansion Pass part one, titled ‘Bubbly Basin,’ will arrive in August 2026, part two is scheduled for late 2026 and part three for 2027.

The update adjusts in-game interactions and creature behavior. It adds new conversation variations, including changes when a Pokémon displays a “…” speech bubble, and alters timing and topic distributions for those interactions. When using chairs or beds, Pokémon accompanying Ditto will attempt to use furniture together when possible. Several Eeveelutions — Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon and Sylveon — will sleep at the edge of sofas like Leafeon. A Ditto-specific change lets players press Run or Jump while Ditto is falling after a transformation ends to return it to human form and re-enable controls.

Construction and placement systems received updates to reduce friction. Pokémon that follow Ditto now avoid placement preview areas during object placement. Players can select the destination floor when moving Pokémon into two-story houses while still indoors. The placement limit for electrically powered items was raised from 512 to 1,024 for items placed after the update. The laser sensor item now displays its detection range. The Environment Level screen shows which Pokémon comfort requests were fulfilled that day. In the Collection menu, pressing the X button reveals color variations of flowers and hedges. The Filter action in the Pokédex and Habitat Dex has been renamed “Confirm.” The main menu now clarifies when a save is in progress and allows settings to be adjusted during auto-saving.

Several event and request texts were clarified. Dialogues were adjusted for requests in locations such as Withered Wasteland, Bleak Beach and Sparkling Skylands to make objectives clearer. During in-game events players can cancel trades via added dialogue options and temporarily suspend trades at the Pokémon Center. Multiplayer sessions now present a choice about whether to listen to a Pokémon’s request.

The patch fixes a wide range of bugs. Resolved issues include Pokémon stopping partway while processing materials, transactions at the Pokémon Center or Poké Mart ending immediately, and flying Pokémon such as Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff becoming unable to move through the air. The update addresses clipping and non-reaction problems in specific habitats, doors and windows failing to open during hide-and-sneak, and emote-learning causing falls. Camera and expression issues in photo mode were fixed, along with problems that reduced the appearance rate of Pokémon in town when they had no habitat.

Construction and relocation bugs were also addressed. Fixes cover cases where construction cancelled under certain conditions left the screen black or controls unresponsive, relocation or demolition of specific structures created unbreakable floor parts, and drying out blocks caused planted seeds to disappear. Multiplayer stability fixes target item loss during host transfer or when a session is disbanded. The patch also resolves Dream Island and Cloud Island pathing and event errors, underwater item display issues, incorrect mini-game start conditions and challenges that blocked recipe learning.

The Version 1.1.0 update is available now for download on Nintendo Switch. The Expansion Pass is on sale in the Nintendo eShop; the first paid update, ‘Bubbly Basin,’ is due in August 2026, with additional content arriving in late 2026 and during 2027.
