Pokémon TCG Pocket adds Paradox Drive booster May 27

Paradox Drive arrives in Pokémon TCG Pocket May 27 (evening PDT), introducing Ancient and Future cards and featuring legendaries Koraidon and Miraidon.

The Pokémon Company announced Paradox Drive, a new themed booster pack for Pokémon TCG Pocket, will launch beginning May 27 in the evening hours Pacific Daylight Time. The company released a trailer for the set on its official YouTube channel.

Paradox Drive introduces two new card subcategories to the mobile game: Ancient and Future. The set draws on Paradox Pokémon from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. Players can open and collect cards from the booster inside the app and use Ancient and Future cards alongside other cards in the same subcategory when building decks. The Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon are included among the new cards.

The launch will be supported by a series of in-app events and promotions running through June. The Paradox Drive Emblem Event, scheduled for late May into early June, will offer emblems, shinedust, and other items through competitive battles. Community Week in early June will focus on trading and sharing cards, with rewards such as trade hourglasses and accessories.

Mid- to late-June activities include a Ceruledge ex Drop Event featuring special solo battles with rewards that include B Series promo packs vol. 9. A Wonder Pick Event in the same period will place promo cards of Sableye and Floragato in Wonder Picks. During the overall event window, players can complete missions to earn an event shop ticket that can be exchanged for a promo card in the in-app Shop.

The trailer previews card artwork and the new card mechanics. The Paradox Drive update adds Scarlet and Violet-era Paradox Pokémon to the Pocket trading-card environment and expands the set of collectible card subcategories available in the app.
