Pokémon TCG Pocket tops 200 million downloads
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has topped 200 million downloads on iOS and Android, The Pokémon Company announced.
The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has surpassed 200 million downloads worldwide on iOS and Android. The app launched globally on Oct. 30, 2024.
The game recorded more than 10 million downloads in the first 48 hours and exceeded 60 million in the weeks after launch. The developer attributed continued growth to regular updates and content drops added since release.
Pokémon TCG Pocket is free to play with optional microtransactions for in-game purchases. The company announced a new expansion, titled Mythical Island, will begin rolling out on Dec. 17.
In a message to players, The Pokémon Company thanked fans, writing,
We hope you all continue to enjoy Pokémon TCG Pocket in the future as well.
The statement credited the player community for the app’s rapid growth.
The mobile app adapts the physical Pokémon Trading Card Game, offering digital card collection, deck building and online play.
