Pragmata v1.21 raises PS5 Pro internal res to 1080p
Patch v1.21 raises PS5 Pro internal rendering from 864p to 1080p, still upscaling to 4K with PSSR2; reflections and fine detail improve but occasional frame drops may occur.
Capcom released patch v1.21 for the PS5 Pro build of Pragmata. The update increases the game’s internal rendering resolution from 864p to 1080p while continuing to use the PSSR2 upscaler to output a 4K image.
Raising the internal resolution provides more source pixel information before upscaling. As a result, reflections and fine surface detail, such as metallic and wet surfaces, appear sharper after the upscaling pass.
The patch keeps the game’s ray-tracing features and the Resolution Mode presentation used on the base PS5. The change applies only to the PS5 Pro build; standard PS5 users should see no change to their existing visual modes.
The higher internal resolution increases GPU workload. Players may encounter occasional frame drops in more complex scenes as the console renders more pixels prior to upscaling.
Owners with variable-refresh-rate (VRR) displays may notice smoother handling of those fluctuations, since a VRR screen can adapt refresh timing to the console output and reduce perceived stutter.
Patch v1.21 focuses on improving how reflective surfaces and lighting resolve after upscaling by supplying a denser source image to the PSSR2 pipeline. The update is part of ongoing adjustments to the PS5 Pro build to refine image clarity on the enhanced hardware.
