Glass Head Dolls and publisher Wings have announced Prison of Husks, a soulslike action RPG for PlayStation 5 and PC. The game will launch on Jan. 27, 2027.

Prison of Husks is set in Lysiane, an afterlife presented as a painted world. Players awaken in a new vessel and explore a desolate landscape that is breaking apart while searching for answers about their arrival and the whereabouts of a loved one.

The game’s official description says Lysiane was created by a pure-hearted painter who is now gone. Players must investigate what happened, find their beloved and learn why the afterlife is crumbling.

Prison of Husks uses visual design inspired by the original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 eras. Its combat and exploration follow conventions associated with the soulslike genre. The developers have not announced further gameplay details.

The game’s PlayStation Store page is live, and PS5 users can add it to their wishlists. Wings and Glass Head Dolls have not announced the price or preorder details.

Prison of Husks will be released for PS5 and PC on Jan. 27, 2027.
