PS Plus Extra title Squirrel With a Gun vanishes from catalog

Squirrel With a Gun, a PS5 action game added to PS Plus Extra in April 2026, was removed from the PS Plus Extra catalog sometime in the past 48 hours. The removal was not listed among scheduled departures from the service.

Subscribers who downloaded the game while it was available continue to have access and can play it. New users attempting to open the game’s page see purchase options and no option to redeem it from the Extra catalog. The PS Store page no longer displays a PS Plus label, while the purchase listing remains active.

Sony has not issued a statement explaining the change. The alteration appears to affect the catalog entry rather than copies already downloaded.

Store listings have briefly disappeared in prior instances after SKU or metadata updates; in those cases titles returned to subscription catalogs once the updates completed. Permanent removals from the service have occurred before but typically involved older or time-limited deals rather than recent additions.

Until Sony or the publisher provides an update, accounts with the game already in their library can continue to play, and new players must purchase the title to access it.
