PS Store debuts PS5 VR survival shooter Drop Dead: The Cabin

Drop Dead: The Cabin, a 1980s-styled PS5 action game with PSVR2 support, launched on the PlayStation Store ahead of Halloween 2026. It supports solo or four-player online co-op and costs $24.99.

PlayStation Store added Drop Dead: The Cabin to its PS5 catalog just ahead of Halloween 2026. The title supports PSVR2, single-player and online co-op for up to four players with an active PS Plus subscription. The game is listed at $24.99 and launched without a temporary discount.

Developers describe the game as a VR survival shooter set in an isolated, locked cabin. Players scavenge for supplies, arm themselves and defend the cabin against successive waves of hostile proto-zombie creatures. The experience emphasizes weapon-based VR combat and coordinated defense in both solo and cooperative modes.

Drop Dead: The Cabin first released on Meta headsets in early 2023. On Meta platforms it recorded about 4.5 out of 5 stars from more than 3,000 votes. Early PlayStation VR2 user response has been positive, and the PlayStation Store listing showed a 4.61/5 rating at the time of reporting.

Online cooperative play requires PS Plus; solo play is available without it. The PlayStation release brings the same wave-based mechanics and cooperative focus that appeared on the earlier Meta release.

An official overview reads: “Locked in a creepy cabin deep in the woods, you must rely on your wits, your reflexes and your firepower to survive. Scavenge for supplies, arm yourself to the teeth and fend off relentless waves of grotesque proto-zombie creatures clawing at every entrance.”
