PS Store quietly releases dinosaur FPS Ferocious for PS5
PlayStation Store quietly released Ferocious, a dinosaur-themed PS5 first-person shooter from OMYOG and tinyBuild. PS Plus launch price is $19.99.
Developer OMYOG and publisher tinyBuild have released Ferocious on the PlayStation Store for PS5. The game first launched on PC in 2025. PlayStation Plus members receive a 20% launch discount, reducing the price to $19.99; non-subscribers pay $24.99. A launch trailer accompanies the PlayStation release.
Ferocious places players on an uncharted island after a search for a missing brother. The official overview reads: “Wake up stranded on an uncharted island where danger comes from every direction.”
The game mixes first-person shooting with survival elements. The environment shifts during play and includes ancient ruins and large predators described as “apex predators.”
A core mechanic allows players to control dinosaurs to aid progress. The plot reads: “Control dinosaurs to attack enemies, clear paths, or slip past guarded areas, turning the island’s deadliest creatures into your greatest weapon.” This ability can be used for combat and stealth.
Early response on the PlayStation Store shows a 4.71 out of 5 rating from PS5 players. On PC the title received mixed reviews during its earlier release. The PlayStation edition is the first console release and is available now for under $25.
