PS5 demo of Fading Echo available free on PS Store

Emeteria has released a free demo of Fading Echo on the PlayStation Store for PS5. The demo is available to all users and does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription. It lets players sample the game’s combat, exploration and puzzle systems ahead of the full release.

Fading Echo puts players in the role of One, a young Legend on a floating island who must fight to save Corel, a fractured world threatened by a force called the Paradox. The studio describes the title as a fast-paced elemental action-adventure RPG. Players can manipulate elements, weaponize water and interact with hazards such as lava and toxic waste to gain an advantage in combat and puzzles. The game also features a mechanic that lets players shift between realities to approach challenges in different ways.

Emeteria posted a launch trailer and additional details on the PlayStation Blog. On the blog the studio wrote, “To survive, you’ll experiment with One’s powers, manipulate the elements around you, and shift between realities to find new ways through combat, exploration, and puzzles.”

The full game is listed at $19.99 on the PlayStation Store. Players subscribed to PS Plus Premium can cloud stream the full title through the service. Early user reviews indicate higher ratings on Steam than on PS5.
