PS5 owners can try Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves demo free
A free demo of SNK’s 2025 fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available to download for PS5 and PS4 from the PlayStation Store.
SNK has released a free standalone demo of its 2025 fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The demo is available to download from the PlayStation Store and is also offered for Xbox consoles and on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The trial includes six playable characters: Rock, Terry, Hotaru, Preecha, Vox and Mai. Included modes are Arcade, Classic Versus, Training, Tutorial, Trials and Color Edit.
Arcade mode in the demo limits players to two matches when using Rock, Terry or Hotaru; the full game allows seven matches. Online play is disabled in the demo and Classic Versus does not support player-versus-player matches. Costume changes made in Color Edit and any demo data cannot be transferred into the full game.
SNK described the demo as a standalone experience intended to let players try core gameplay before buying the full release.
The full Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves release includes a single-player Episodes of South Town mode with role-playing elements. Players can explore South Town, fight opponents, level up characters and equip skills. The base roster contains about 17 fighters, with additional characters planned via downloadable content.
For the first time in the franchise, the base roster includes guest characters drawn from outside video games, including footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and DJ Salvatore Ganacci. The full game adds the REV combat mechanic and two control schemes aimed at newcomers and series veterans. All modes present in the demo are available without the demo’s restrictions in the full game.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is rated T for Teen and is listed at $19.99 on the PlayStation Store, where it carries a user rating of 4.48.
