PS5 horror The Medium 75% off in Gamescom sale

The Medium, Bloober Team’s 2021 psychological horror for PS5, is 75% off on the PlayStation Store and available for $12.49 as part of a Gamescom 2026 sale that runs through Thursday, Sept. 10. The game’s regular price is $49.99, and the current offer is the lowest listed price on the store to date.

Players control Marianne, a medium haunted by visions, who travels to an abandoned communist-era resort to investigate the origins of her abilities and a recurring mystery. The game’s plot description reads: “You are Marianne, a medium haunted by visions you cannot explain. Drawn to an abandoned communist-era resort, you set out to uncover the origins of your powers and solve the mystery that has followed you your entire life.”

Bloober Team describes the experience as alternating between two perspectives: the physical world shows remnants of what once was, while the spirit world reveals hidden truths, lingering emotions and horrors born from tragedy. The title pairs narrative-driven exploration with mechanics that let players shift between the physical and spirit worlds to solve puzzles and progress the story.

Originally released in 2021 and first published as an Xbox console exclusive, The Medium later arrived on PS5. On the PlayStation Store the game holds a 4.01 out of 5 star rating from more than 2,000 user votes. Critical reviews for the PS5 version are reflected in a Metacritic score of 75 out of 100.
