PS5 pre-order grants Control Resonant 48-hour early access

Sony confirmed during its State of Play presentation that the PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition of Control Resonant will offer 48 hours of early access beginning Sept. 22, 2026. The game’s full release across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC is set for Sept. 24, 2026.

The early-access window applies only to the PS5 Digital Deluxe pre-order. The publisher has not announced an equivalent pre-order bonus for Xbox Series X|S or PC. The Digital Deluxe Edition carries the same listed price on consoles — £59.99 / $69.99 — meaning PS5 buyers receive the 48-hour access at no additional cost compared with other platforms.

Sony communications director Thomas Puha noted on social media that the early-access benefit is limited to the PS5 edition. The publisher has described the offer as tied to the Digital Deluxe purchase on Sony’s platform rather than as a timed exclusivity across platforms. No further platform-specific pre-order incentives have been disclosed.

The publisher has released few other platform details. There are no announced technical performance comparisons or additional exclusive content for any platform beyond the early-access pre-order benefit. When the game launches on Sept. 24, it will be available for purchase and play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Control Resonant shares its Sept. 24 release window with other major titles scheduled that week. The 48-hour early access will allow some PS5 players to start playing on Sept. 22, ahead of the full cross-platform release two days later.
