PS5 Pro Gets Four Exclusive Welcome Hub Backgrounds
Sony is rolling out a server-side PS5 Pro update that adds a folder with four console-exclusive backgrounds to the Welcome Hub.
The new folder appears in the Welcome Hub’s “Change Background” menu on PS5 Pro consoles that have received the update. The backgrounds are not available on the standard PS5.
Sony is distributing the feature remotely, so users do not need to download or install a full system software update. The folder may appear automatically after the console receives the server-side change.
Users who do not see the folder can check for the feature manually. From the PS5 home screen, they can open Settings, select System, choose System Feature Updates and wait for the check to finish.
Four backgrounds are currently available in the PS5 Pro folder. Sony has not announced additional designs or confirmed whether game-specific backgrounds will be added.
