PS5 releases June 8–14: Solarpunk, NBA The Run

Seven PS5 titles arrive June 8–14: Solarpunk (June 8); NBA The Run and The Boys: Trigger Warning (PSVR2) (June 9); Sportal, 4PGP and Unrailed! 2 (June 11); Driftland (June 12).

Seven games debut on PlayStation platforms between June 8 and June 14, led by the sandbox survival title Solarpunk and the street basketball game NBA The Run. Releases this week include a PSVR2 tie-in to the television series The Boys and four additional console and PS5-only launches.

Solarpunk arrives on PS5 on June 8. Developed by two creators, it is a relaxed survival and crafting sandbox. Players can build structures, furnish and decorate interiors, grow and cook food, craft gadgets and explore multiple islands using a personal airship. The game offers solo and multiplayer modes and emphasizes construction and creativity over combat.

NBA The Run launches on PS5 on June 9 as an online 3v3 street basketball title. The game focuses on fast-paced, arcade-style matches with high dunks, ball-handling moves and signature plays. It features current NBA players on stylized streetball courts and short matches that reward in-game progression and reputation.

Also on June 9, The Boys: Trigger Warning releases for PSVR2. Developed with the creators and featuring members of the series cast, the virtual reality experience places players inside scenarios drawn from the show. The title presents close-range, interactive sequences that mirror the series’ mix of action and dark satire.

June 11 brings three PS5 releases and one cross-generation title. Sportal, available on PS5 and PS4, combines sports mechanics with waves of 1950s-style monsters; players use baseball bats, hockey pucks, bowling balls and explosive golf shots to clear levels. 4PGP, a PS5 split-screen racer, offers formula-style cars and tracks inspired by locations around the world. Unrailed! 2: Back on Track expands cooperative track-building with local and online multiplayer, requiring teams to build and maintain rail lines across procedurally generated worlds while the train keeps moving.

Driftland: The Magic Revisited arrives on PS5 on June 12. The strategy title returns to a world fragmented by a war of mages, held together by a massive spell. Players contend with factions fighting for territory and resources across a landscape made of reassembled island fragments.

Most releases focus on PS5, with select entries available on PSVR2 and PS4. The week’s slate covers single-player creative experiences and a range of local and online multiplayer options, with each title scheduled on the dates above.
