Sony’s PlayStation Store is offering a free demo of Resident Evil Requiem for PlayStation 5 owners. The trial is available now and does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription.
The demo includes Grace Ashcroft’s opening sequence at Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center and a brief playable section as Leon S. Kennedy, allowing players to sample both the game’s survival-horror and action segments.
Any PS5 owner with a PlayStation Network account can download the demo from the PS Store at no additional cost. To find it, search for Resident Evil Requiem on the console’s store.
Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth mainline title in Capcom’s series and launched earlier this year. The full game sold 5 million copies in its first five days and surpassed 7 million units within two months, making it the fastest-selling entry in the Resident Evil franchise.
In its official description, Capcom writes: “Experience terrifying survival horror with FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, and dive into pulse-pounding action with legendary agent Leon S. Kennedy. Both of their journeys and unique gameplay styles intertwine into a heart-stopping, emotional experience that will chill you to your core.”
The demo lets players evaluate the game’s opening tone, pacing and mechanics before deciding whether to purchase the full release.
