Aniimo, a PS5 open-world action RPG, will launch in September 2026 and will be free to download at release. The PlayStation Store page is live and is accepting preorders for two paid editions: the Advanced Edition at $9.99 and the Collector’s Edition at $19.99.

Both paid editions include a PlayStation-exclusive digital accessory called Fluffy Friend and access to an Advanced Companion Handbook, described as a battle-pass-style track that grants in-game rewards and progression items. The Collector’s Edition adds an exclusive doll and an avatar frame in addition to other listed in-game benefits.

The Advanced Companion Handbook lists a Prismana Aniimo Egg, usable at the Outpost Hatchinator to hatch a Prismana-form Aniimo with “Perfect Potential,” and Companion Handbook-exclusive evolution materials for branching evolution paths. The store entry also mentions unspecified additional rewards tied to the paid packages.

The game is set on the continent of Idyll and centers on capturing creatures called Aniimo and using a mechanic called Twine that lets players become Aniimo they collect to use their skills for puzzles, combat and exploration. An official overview reads: “On your journey of adventure, you can Twine with Aniimo and essentially become any Aniimo that you collect. Use the Aniimo’s skills to solve puzzles, win battles, and overcome challenges.”

The PlayStation Store listing provides pricing and content summaries but does not list developer credits, a post-launch content roadmap, or cross-platform availability. The entry does not specify whether additional paid content or microtransactions will be offered after launch. Sony’s PlayStation Store is handling distribution for the PS5 release.
