PS5 Specs Revealed for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2

Konami published PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro technical specifications for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. The package includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD Collection version) and Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel. The collection is scheduled for release on Aug. 27, 2026, at a retail price of $49.99. PS5 owners can preorder or add the title to their wishlist on the PlayStation Store.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will run on both PS5 and PS5 Pro with a maximum output resolution of 3,840 by 2,160 pixels and an internal rendering resolution that can reach 3,840 by 2,160 pixels. The title targets a frame rate of 60 frames per second on both console models.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker supports a maximum output resolution of 3,840 by 2,160 pixels on PS5 and PS5 Pro and can reach 60 frames per second when the Custom resolution option is selected. Peace Walker provides four selectable resolution settings: Original Mode, Adjusted Mode, High Resolution Mode and Custom. When Custom is active, internal resolution options include Original and Full HD, and internal upscaling choices are Default, FHD, WQHD and 4K. Cutscenes under Custom can be set to either Original or High Resolution.

Bonus content included in the collection is specified to run at a maximum output and internal resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels with a target frame rate of 60 frames per second on both PS5 and PS5 Pro.

Konami separated the core game performance targets from the bonus material in its technical breakdown. The collection includes configurable resolution and upscaling options for PS5 and PS5 Pro to allow selection between image quality and performance settings.
