PS5 to get three Yomawari horror-adventure games

NIS America will release The Long Night Collection (Yomawari: Night Alone and Midnight Shadows) and Yomawari: Lost in the Dark on PS5 in Western markets on November 5, 2026.

NIS America will release three Yomawari horror-adventure games for PlayStation 5 in Western markets on November 5, 2026. The publisher will offer Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows together as The Long Night Collection, while Yomawari: Lost in the Dark will be sold separately.

The Long Night Collection gathers the 2015 and 2017 PlayStation Vita titles, Night Alone and Midnight Shadows, into a single PS5 package. The collection first launched on Nintendo Switch in 2018 and received a PlayStation 5 release in Japan earlier in 2026.

Lost in the Dark first released on PlayStation 4 in 2022. A PS5 version has been available in Japan since March 2026; NIS America will handle the Western PS5 release on November 5, 2026.

All three games focus on nighttime exploration of rural Japanese towns and prioritize stealth and survival mechanics over combat. Players use limited light sources, narrow camera perspectives and simple controls to hide from or evade supernatural threats. Core actions include hiding in the environment, timing movements to avoid spirits, running when necessary and closing the character’s eyes to pass certain encounters while collecting items and pieces of the story.

NIS America will distribute the PS5 editions in Western territories. Existing versions for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch remain available on their original systems. The publisher did not disclose pricing, pre-order details or special editions when it announced the release date.

The Yomawari series began with Night Alone on PlayStation Vita in 2015, followed by Midnight Shadows in 2017 and Lost in the Dark on PlayStation 4 in 2022. The November 5, 2026 PS5 releases will make the titles available to current-generation console owners in Western markets.
