PS5 update quietly adds Weekly Wrap-Up widget

Sony Interactive Entertainment has rolled out a PS5 feature update that adds a Weekly Wrap-Up widget to the console’s Welcome Hub. The change appeared for some users recently; Sony has not provided a timetable for the rollout.

The Weekly Wrap-Up card shows a player’s most-played game for the week, total playtime logged during that week, the number of trophies earned and an image of the rarest trophy unlocked in that period. The card appears among other Welcome Hub items as a compact summary of weekly activity.

Reports from players indicate the widget is appearing for some accounts but not others. Several users who manually installed the latest feature update did not see the card, which suggests the release may be staggered or limited to specific test groups.

The widget is located inside the Welcome Hub, the PS5 interface area that presents system information and player activity. The card is presented as a quick visual summary so users can view weekly stats without opening detailed activity menus.

Separately, many players continue to report a long-running issue with the Recently Played feature on PS5. Users report that Recently Played has been broken for almost a month; there has been no formal acknowledgement from Sony about that specific problem. The presence of the Weekly Wrap-Up does not appear to affect the Recently Played error.

Sony has not issued an official statement about whether the Weekly Wrap-Up is part of a beta or a staged release. Players who have the widget have shared screenshots and descriptions in online discussions. Other users say they are waiting for a wider system update to receive the feature.

The addition follows Sony’s pattern of rolling out incremental interface updates that can reach consoles at different times. For now, the Weekly Wrap-Up is available to some PS5 users while others continue to monitor update channels for broader availability and fixes to outstanding interface issues.
