QuByte Reveals 13 Retro Xbox Games for 2026-27

QuByte’s ReConnect Showcase announced 13 retro titles for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, led by Gaelco Sports Collection and Biomechanical Toy, with releases from July 2026 through 2027.

QuByte presented 13 retro titles for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One during an 11-minute ReConnect Showcase, scheduling releases across 2026 and 2027.

Key entries include the Gaelco Sports Collection, planned for 2026, which bundles five 1990s arcade sports games: Squash (1992), World Rally Championship (1993), Touch and Go (1995), World Rally 2: Twin Racing (1995) and Snowboard Championship (1996). Biomechanical Toy, a 1995 run-and-gun, is listed for July 16, 2026 and preserves its original boss fights and power-up mechanics.

The Thunder Hoop Collection is due in 2026 and combines Thunder Hoop (1992) with Thunder Hoop Strikes Back (1994). Soccer Kid Collection is available now and includes the SNES and MS-DOS versions of the 1993 platformer updated for current consoles.

Several single-title releases are scheduled for 2027. Invasion From Beyond (1998) is an alien-invasion shooter listed for that year. Motor Mash (1998) returns as a 3D cartoon-style racer with 12 vehicles and weapon-based gameplay. TigerShark (1997) is a subfoil combat game set in 2060 A.D. QuByte plans free PlayStation 1-themed updates for Glover (1999) and Street Racer (1996) in 2027.

All announced releases are being prepared for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. QuByte provided release windows for most entries but did not disclose pricing for the majority of titles during the presentation. The company described the slate as part of its ReConnect initiative to bring retro and lesser-known games to modern consoles while preserving original release formats and dates.
