Rayman Legends Retold screenshots leak ahead of State of Play

A preview and several screenshots of Rayman Legends Retold appeared online today ahead of the State of Play broadcast scheduled for 2pm PT/10pm UK. The material went live before the embargo on previews and assets was due to lift.

The images show levels from the original 2013 game rendered with cleaner textures, updated lighting and revised visuals. The project appears under the title Rayman Legends Retold; a logo for the remake circulated on social media after the internal codename Project Steambot was linked to the project.

Insiders have suggested the remake will use a 2.5D presentation with occasional 3D sections, preserving side-scrolling movement while adding deeper camera or level depth.
