Rayman Legends: Retold launches Oct. 1 on Switch 2

Ubisoft confirmed Rayman Legends: Retold will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on Oct. 1, 2026. The remake supports online co-op for up to four players and a Game-Key Card edition.

Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends: Retold, a remake of the 2013 platformer, will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on Oct. 1, 2026. The release will include online cooperative play for up to four players and a Game-Key Card physical edition that bundles Rayman Origins Enhanced.

The company confirmed a $40 price and said a physical edition is planned for PlayStation 5 as well. The Game-Key Card format contains a code for a digital download rather than a full game cartridge, which redeems the title on the console’s storefront.

Rayman Legends originally released in 2013 and Rayman Origins first appeared in 2011. Rayman Origins Enhanced, included in the Game-Key Card edition, is a remastered version of that earlier title. The remake brings the series to Nintendo’s next-generation handheld-home console nearly 13 years after the original release.

The project circulated under an internal codename and a logo appeared online before Ubisoft’s announcement. The company’s confirmation provides the first formal details on the remake’s launch date and platforms.

Ubisoft has not released full technical details, including cross-play support, platform-specific features or system requirements. Information on preorders, retailer availability and any additional physical contents is expected in the weeks leading up to the October launch.
