Readers Polled on Buying Yoshi for Switch 2 at Launch

A gaming site has opened a reader poll asking whether they will purchase the Switch 2 exclusive Yoshi and the Mysterious Book at launch. The game is scheduled to release worldwide on May 21, 2026.

The publisher has set the price at $69.99 for physical copies and $59.99 for digital downloads, with U.K. pricing listed at £58.99 and £49.99 for the respective formats or regional equivalents.

The poll follows a series of previews, hands-on footage and promotional material that have appeared online in the run-up to release. A preview described the game as retaining much of what made recent series entries “cute and accessible,” while offering “a surprising amount of depth under the hood.” The preview included a gameplay video highlighting the title’s art style, level design and some mechanics.

Coverage notes the title is exclusive to the Switch 2 and will be available in retail stores and on digital storefronts on release day.
