Readers Split Over Ocarina of Time 3D Box Art

A reader poll matched North America’s gold Ocarina of Time 3D cover against Europe/Japan’s Hyrule Field artwork ahead of a confirmed Switch 2 remake.

This week an online reader poll presented two regional box arts for the 2011 Ocarina of Time 3D. Voters chose between North America’s gold cover and the shared Europe/Japan landscape design.

Organizers framed the vote as a direct comparison to determine which 3DS box art remains more memorable after Nintendo confirmed a full remake for the Switch 2.

The North American cover features a gold background with Adult Link mounted on a rearing Epona. The image centers on Link and the horse against a metallic backdrop used on the 3DS release.

The Europe and Japan cover shows a wider view of Hyrule Field. It depicts Link riding Epona across open terrain with Death Mountain on the right, Lon Lon Ranch on the left and Hyrule Castle visible in the distance, matching the game’s in-world geography.

Europe and Japan share the same design, so the poll was presented as a duel between the gold motif and the cinematic landscape. The poll is part of a recurring box art series run by the publisher, which plans additional matchups in the coming weeks.
