Rec Room will be delisted and its Xbox servers will shut on June 8, 2026. Battlefield Hardline will close Xbox servers on June 22, 2026; single-player remains playable.
Two Xbox titles will lose online services in June 2026. Rec Room will be removed from the Xbox Store and its Xbox servers will shut down on June 8, 2026. Battlefield Hardline, which was delisted from the Xbox Store on May 22, will have its Xbox servers closed on June 22, 2026; the single-player campaign will remain playable offline.
Rec Room is a free-to-play social and minigame platform that gained popularity in virtual reality. On Xbox, the title will be removed from the store and will lose all online features on June 8. After that date, players on Xbox will no longer be able to access multiplayer rooms, cross-play features or community-created content. Downloads and purchases of Rec Room on Xbox will end prior to the server shutdown.
Battlefield Hardline was taken off the Xbox Store on May 22. Its online services on Xbox will end on June 22. Multiplayer modes, matchmaking and online progression tied to Battlefield Hardline will stop working once the servers go offline. The game’s single-player campaign does not require online connectivity and will remain playable on consoles that have the game installed.
Other platform changes are scheduled for June. Support for Pinball FX – Seasons on Xbox One ends on June 1, and Xbox One users will lose access to future Pinball FX and Pinball M releases on that platform. Call of Duty: Warzone will remove its in-game shop for Xbox One users on June 25; Warzone servers on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are scheduled to shut down in late 2026. The Elder Scrolls: Blades will close servers for Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch on June 30. Publishers have also announced additional service reductions in July, including a shutdown for Madden NFL 23 and partial server closures for DiRT Rally 2.0 and New World: Aeternum. Full details and timings for some July changes have not been provided.
Players affected by these closures should back up any locally stored data where possible and follow publisher guidance on preserving saves, account transfers and refunds. For titles that lose online features but retain offline single-player modes, those offline components will remain accessible after online services end.
