Re:Re:Ghosted, an analog-horror game, launches on Xbox

Playstige Interactive’s solo developer released Re:Re:Ghosted on Xbox via ID@XBOX, a $4.99 first-person analog-horror game built around HR paperwork and automated rejections.

Playstige Interactive’s solo developer released Re:Re:Ghosted on Xbox through ID@XBOX. The first-person analog-horror game is available now for $4.99.

The game uses workplace materials-VHS tapes, corrupted HR files, orientation videos and automated emails-as its primary sources of horror. Players encounter these artifacts while moving through a digital workplace environment.

In a release note, the developer wrote, “There is a specific kind of fear that no in-game monsters can produce.” The note links the game’s themes to job-search anxiety and the impersonal nature of hiring systems.

Gameplay tasks include searching for work, updating resumes and navigating automated hiring portals. The game highlights silence after applications, automated replies that misname applicants and documents that read like company records.

The project was built and self-published under the Playstige Interactive name by a single developer. The creator described the aesthetic as intentionally raw and minimal, writing that “AA budgets would be a lie” and that the game should feel like something that leaked out of a larger system.

The developer credited ID@XBOX’s distribution infrastructure for making the release possible, writing that it “allows a game about institutional systems to exist outside of one.” The program handled publishing and platform access for the Xbox launch.

Re:Re:Ghosted aligns with the analog-horror approach by presenting artifacts without cinematic cues. The developer framed that method as presenting materials and letting players supply recognition based on their own workplace experiences.
