Leaker: Resident Evil Requiem ‘Extraction’ expansion due in May

Leaker and dataminers claim Resident Evil Requiem’s first story expansion, Extraction, starring Ada Wong and Leon Kennedy, will arrive in May; Capcom has not confirmed details.

A known leaker and several dataminers say the first major story expansion for Resident Evil Requiem, titled Extraction, is due to arrive in May. The reports identify Extraction as a narrative add-on that pairs Ada Wong and Leon Kennedy in new story content.

The claims are based on posts and analysis of game files and related assets. The sources describe Extraction as the game’s initial substantial narrative expansion and say it places Ada and Leon at the center of new missions. Capcom has not published an official release date or confirmed the expansion’s name.

The game’s director previously announced a software update that will add a Photo Mode, a new mini-game and a story expansion. That announcement did not include the expansion’s title; the leaker and dataminers name the package Extraction and link it to Ada and Leon.

Capcom reported that Requiem has sold more than six million units worldwide and identified it as the fastest-selling title in the Resident Evil franchise. The company has outlined plans for post-release updates but has not detailed the contents or timing of the alleged Extraction expansion.

The leaks appear to have come from copies of the game obtained without authorization. The unauthorized release of story content drew criticism from industry figures. Game director Hideki Kamiya wrote that people who shared major spoilers “deserve a thousand deaths.” Capcom has expressed anger about the distribution but has not announced specific remedies.

If Extraction arrives in May as claimed, it would be Requiem’s first major narrative DLC. Capcom has not confirmed the expansion’s content, exact release date, or pricing, and the company had not publicly commented on the specific leak at the time of these reports.
